  • “The equity audit helped us choose core texts for the year. We’re starting to notice patterns in our curriculum and are more aware of the impact on students.”

-Middle School Teacher, Harwood Unified Union School District, Vermont

  • “I'm noticing how students’ culture is depicted in the materials I use. I'm working on how to actively engage all families in our community so they feel welcomed and valued.”

    — Elementary Teacher, Essex Westford School District, Vermont

  • “The audit work with Rebecca has helped me guide conversations with students around the impact of their words and actions, even when they don’t mean to cause harm.”

-High School Teacher, Essex Westford School District, Vermont

  • “Our work with Rebecca Haslam has helped with language use at school. Students now tend to speak up when they hear non-inclusive language being used, and if they don't understand why it’s not ok, they are usually willing to listen and learn.”
